This project involved the professional installation of a new, specialized arm-mounted examination light in a veterinary clinic. The goal was to provide a powerful, adjustable, and safe light source for veterinarian use, ensuring the unit was securely mounted and fully functional.
The ideal mounting location for the light was determined in consultation with the clinic’s staff, considering the layout of the examination table and the need for optimal illumination without obstruction. The ceiling structure was thoroughly inspected to identify a solid mounting point, such as a stud or joist, to support the weight of the light fixture and its articulating arm
The electrical power to the circuit was safely shut off at the breaker panel. A sturdy mounting bracket, provided with the light fixture, was securely fastened to the ceiling joist using heavy-duty screws or bolts then the articulating arm of the light was carefully attached to the mounting bracket.
Electrical wiring was connected from the light fixture to the building’s electrical system inside the junction box, following all safety codes. All wire connections were secured with wire nuts then the light head was attached to the end of the arm. Finally, The light was powered on and its full range of motion was tested to ensure it could be easily positioned and held its place securely.
