This project involved the challenging recovery and re-anchoring of a heavy decorative precast concrete fence section that had separated from its columns and collapsed into the brush area.
Cleared structural debris, pallets, discarded tires, and heavy overgrowth around the breach site to establish a safe and accessible workspace. Safely hoisted and recovered the fallen concrete stone-textured panel from the ground, checking for structural cracks before resetting.
Excavated the soil beneath the shifted support posts to reset the footings at the correct depth. Realigned the two flanking support columns to a perfect vertical plumb, ensuring the structural tracks were parallel and ready to receive the heavy panels securely. Slipped the precast concrete panel back into the structural column grooves, aligning the faux-stone pattern seamlessly with the existing fence line.
Mixed and poured high-strength concrete into the base of the structural posts to lock the entire assembly into place. The new concrete footings were troweled off to ensure proper water runoff away from the posts. Performed a physical stress test once the posts were set to guarantee the fence panel resists wind loads and ground pressure
Finally, verified that the decorative column caps were aligned and seated correctly to prevent water from entering the internal core of the posts.
