- Mirror Installation
The project involved the precision mounting of two frameless, rectangular mirrors onto a textured, hexagonal tile backsplash above a double-sink vanity.
The mirrors utilize a French Cleat (Z-bar) mounting system. This is visible in the first image, where the aluminum cleat is temporarily secured with blue painter’s tape to mark the level and position before permanent drilling. The technitian used blue painter’s tape to mark the center line and horizontal alignment relative to the faucets and the vanity.
Given the textured tile, specialized diamond-tipped masonry bits were likely used to avoid cracking the tile during the anchor installation. Each mirror was perfectly centered over its respective vessel sink and the height was set to provide ample clearance for the high-arc faucets while maintaining a comfortable viewing angle for the clients
The finished installation showcases a high-end, contemporary look. The mirrors were flush to the wall and aligned with the modern hardware, such as the brushed nickel faucets and towel racks, creating a cohesive and symmetrical bathroom design.
