This project involved the aesthetic restoration of the mounting poles and the technical installation of two high-efficiency exterior lantern fixtures.
- The existing poles were thoroughly cleaned to remove environmental debris, oxidation, and old paint flakes. The metal surface was sanded to create a “profile” for the new finish, ensuring maximum adhesion and preventing future peeling.
- A rust inhibitive primer was applied to protect the metal structure from South Florida’s humidity. The poles were refinished with a high-durability, weather resistant black finish, restoring the structural elements to a “like new” condition and power was safely disconnected at the source before any electrical work began.
- The ornate lantern fixtures were precision-mounted to the pole collars. All set screws and mounting brackets were tightened and checked for stability against wind and vibration.Clear outdoor sealant was applied around the base of the fixture to ensure no water enters the internal pole housing and finally the system was powered on to verify bulb functionality and circuit integrity.
