Dryer Vent Exhaust Replacement Miami, FL

This project involved the replacement and secure mounting of an exterior dryer vent exhaust termination on the roof overhang, as shown in the installation image.

Safely removed the damaged exterior vent cover and cleared any accumulated lint or obstructions from the terminal duct opening. Inspected the eave/soffit mounting area to ensure the surrounding material was structurally sound and capable of supporting a tight, weather-resistant seal.

Installed a new, high-durability exterior vent hood featuring an integrated damper flap designed to prevent backdrafts, outdoor pests, and cold air entry. Affixed the vent securely to the soffit panel using corrosion-resistant fasteners, ensuring proper alignment with the internal exhaust ductwork.

Applied an exterior-grade sealant around the flange perimeter to block moisture intrusion, prevent air leaks, and protect against weather damage. Verified that the exhaust flap moves freely and opens fully under airflow pressure to ensure maximum lint evacuation and energy efficiency for the dryer.
