Door Replacement Northwest Miami

This project involved the professional replacement of an existing door . The goal was to remove the old door and securely install a new unit, ensuring a proper fit, smooth operation, and a clean, finished appearance.

The new pre-hung door unit was test-fitted into the rough opening to confirm a proper fit.A waterproof membrane or flashing was applied to the sill, and a continuous bead of high-quality silicone caulk was applied to the subfloor to create a weatherproof seal.

The new door unit was carefully set into the opening, centered, and secured in place using shims on the hinge side. Shims were strategically placed to ensure the door was perfectly plumb and square within the opening. he hinge-side of the door jamb was securely fastened to the wall studs through the shims.

The door’s operation was tested to ensure it opened and closed smoothly without sticking or rubbing. The gaps (reveal) between the door and the frame were checked for consistency on all sides. Finally, adjustments were made by adding or modifying shims on the lock-side and top of the frame until a perfect alignment was achieved.
