This project involved the secure anchoring of a heavy metal automotive front-end assembly (grille, headlights, and hood cowling) to a finished interior wall, converting a structural component into a centerpiece display.
Given the significant weight of the metal automotive part, the wall was assessed for load-bearing capacity. The unit was secured using heavy-duty, hidden mounting brackets anchored directly into the wall studs to prevent any stress damage to the drywall. Utilizing laser leveling, the assembly was perfectly centered and positioned at the optimal height for eye-level display, ensuring it complements the surrounding wall decor.
The vintage metal assembly was fastened to the mounting hardware with a focus on stability and weight distribution, ensuring the piece remains rigid and flush against the wall surface without vibration or shifting. Headlight housings and the central grille were aligned to ensure the piece maintains its authentic vehicle geometry while being presented as art.
The automotive metal finish was carefully cleaned of installation dust and fingerprints to preserve its patina and industrial aesthetic. Conducted a final stress test to ensure the mounting brackets are fully engaged with the studs, guaranteeing long term stability.
