This project involved the installation of a new closet door. The installation included ensuring proper fit within the existing opening, secure mounting, smooth operation, and installation of necessary hardware.

The closet door opening was assessed for proper dimensions, level, and any obstructions. The door jamb was inspected for damage or irregularities that might affect the new door’s installation an hinge mortises were pre cut on the door or were marked and chiseled out as necessary to match the jamb.

Hinges were securely attached to the new closet door using screws. The corresponding hinge plates were aligned and attached to the door jamb, ensuring proper spacing for smooth door swing then the new closet door was carefully lifted and aligned with the hinges on the jamb.

The closet door was opened and closed multiple times to ensure smooth, quiet operation and proper latching. Finally, any sticking, binding, or alignment issues were addressed by adjusting hinges or hardware.
