This project involved the precise application of caulk along the seams of a countertop. The primary goal was to create a waterproof and aesthetically pleasing seal between the countertop and the adjacent surfaces .

The entire area to be caulked was thoroughly cleaned. This involved removing any old, cracked, or moldy caulk using a caulk removal too. The seams were then meticulously cleaned of all debris, dust, grease, soap scum, and moisture.

For a crisp, professional finish, painter’s tape was carefully applied along both sides of the seam, leaving a small, consistent gap for the caulk bead. The selected caulk was prepared by cutting the tip of the caulk tube at a 45-degree angle, to an opening size appropriate for the seam width.

The caulk gun was loaded, and a steady, even bead of caulk was applied along the entire length of the seam.Immediately after application, the caulk bead was smoothed using a specialized caulk tool. Then the tape  was used, it was carefully removed immediately after smoothing the caulk, while the caulk was still wet.

Finally, the newly applied caulk was left undisturbed to cure according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
