The repair addressed a break in the wood frame where one of the bed legs was being installed. The damage occurred during the installation process, compromising the integrity of the leg’s mounting point.

To fix the issue and ensure long-term stability, we used a two part approach:

A metal sheet (or metal mending plate) was secured across the fractured area. This hardware acts as a durable internal brace, effectively transferring the load and stress from the leg across a wider, stronger section of the wood frame.

Then a strong adhesive (glue), suitable for wood and potentially metal, was applied to bond the broken wood pieces back together and secure the metal sheet.

This combination of metal support and adhesive created a repaired joint that is structurally stronger than the original wood, ensuring the bed leg is stable and fully capable of supporting its load.
